Angel Square was constructed in 1991 and comprises three separate office buildings positioned around a central courtyard. The buildings are situated on a prominent island site above Angel underground station.

Developed by Charlecote Estates Limited, the buildings are of reinforced concrete frame construction with reinforced concreted floor and roof slabs. The external elevations are a combination of clay brickwork and concrete stone-effect blocks, built in cavity construction with a blockwork inner skin. Reconstituted stone detailing frames the punched windows which comprise powder coated aluminium framed units with sealed double glazing.

Internally, the office accommodation is arranged over basement, lower ground, upper ground and five upper floors and provides a total net internal area of approximately 132,470 sq ft (12,307.9 sq m). In addition to the extensive courtyard, there are numerous external terraces arranged throughout the building with direct access from office floors. Typical floor plates vary between the blocks and are generally rectangular in shape and range from 2,228 sq ft on the Upper Ground floor of Block 1 to 10,200 sq ft on the 2nd floor of Block 2. The current configuration of the office accommodation provides internal windows overlooking the courtyard on each elevation as well as to the external elevations; this enables excellent occupational flexibility and a high degree of natural light to all the upper floors.

All three buildings are currently self-contained, each with individual reception areas, principle service cores, lifts and stairs. Each block is accessed from the central courtyard, to which there are two undercroft pedestrian entrances. The sloping nature of the site means the primary entrance via Islington High Street leads to the upper ground floor and the reception of Block 1. A further entrance, to the rear of the property, via Torrens Street provides access to the lower ground floors of Blocks 2 and 3. A flight of steps within the courtyard provides access between the two levels.

The entrance to Angel underground station is positioned in the north west corner of the site, at ground floor level of Blocks 1 & 3 fronting Islington High Street.

The property benefits from 25 secured car parking spaces located in the basement. Access is via a ramp at the rear of the building from the northern end of Torrens Street, where a loading bay is also sited.
